I am a self taught freelance photographer and filmmaker from Helsinki, Finland.
My clients and collaborators in art projects have ranged from musicians and bands to model
agencies, and from fashion designers to anyone just wants a good portrait.
My main focus is on promotional, commercial and editorial portraits along with short film concepts
and music videos. I have spent many years in Helsinki underground music scene,
so that also plays a big part in my photographic journey.
I have great respect for all the stages of creative process
from pre-visualizing the concept and gathering all the necessities, to post-
production and color grading.
I'm very familiar with creating sets hands on with a DIY attitude
and maintaining the creative control and vision throughout the project.
In my work I value good direction, communication,
inventive visual narrative and creating equality on set.
I mostly shoot stills on film and depending on the project,
either develop & scan the film myself or use a few amazing film labs
inside Europe, that listen to my preferences on the process.
Of course I'm also available for digital shoots, product/food photography,
weddings or any kind of work, where digital workflow is way more
convenient.
